The Life and Death of a Porno Gang
se queda con el 3er. FIXION-SARS 2010

La delirante historia serbia del director Mladen Djordjevic, se alzó con la triple corona con sus premios por mejor película, director y guión. El público otorgó el premio a mejor largometraje a “Humanimal” del chileno Francesc Morales.

Los protagonistas de “Humanimal” Ramón Llao y Jenny Cavallo recibieron la distinción como mejor actor y actriz respectivamente.

En los cortometrajes chilenos el vencedor fue “La Ley del Hielo” del realizador Ignacio Rodríguez y Sebastián Pose. En la sección de cortos latinos, el premio recayó en el argentino “Deus Irae” del director Pedro Cristiani, y en la sección de cortometrajes internacionales el ganador fue la comedia española “Manual Práctico del Amigo Imaginario (Abreviado)” de Ciro Altabás.

La tercera versión del Festival de Cine Fantástico y de Terror de Santiago, FIXION-SARS 2010 se realizó en el Cinemark Plaza Vespucio entre el 31 de octubre y el 3 de noviembre de 2010.

Como lo señalan las bases, los premios fueron otorgados tanto por votación popular como por un jurado integrado por el periodista Fernando Caro (Presidente), editor de la Revista OnOff, amante del cine y gran impulsor del quehacer audiovisual chileno; Víctor Ortega periodista, escritor y documentalista. Conductor y editor del programa “El Mundo sin Brando” por Podcaster, además dicta la cátedra de “Cine Latinoamericano Contemporáneo” en Universidad Finis Terrae e Inti Carrizo-Ortiz realizador, profesor y comentarista de cine del portal Canalfreak.cl. Director de “Renacimiento”, mediometraje independiente premiado por Lucasfilm.

Sección Largometrajes

-Mejor Largometraje: “The Life And Death Of A Porno Gang”.

-Mejor Director y Guión: Mladen Djordjevic por “The Life And Death Of A Porno Gang”. Por su capacidad de conciliar los códigos estéticos de la brutalidad, la crudeza y la violencia sin restricciones unida a una reflexión profunda, real, política y social, y a un manejo del lenguaje audiovisual creativo y audaz.

-Mejor Actor: Ramón Llao, por su actuación en “Humanimal”

-Mejor Actriz: Jenny Cavallo, por su actuación en “Humanimal”
A ambos se les entrega el premio por cargar con maestría con los roles protagónicos de un filme que rompe todas las convenciones de la actuación para cine, al no poder expresarse mediante palabras sino solo por medio de gruñidos y expresión corporal.

Mención Especial para ”PIG” por efectos especiales de maquillaje y cinematografía.
Por sus efectos de maquillajes realistas y a la cinematografía que rompen el esquema al ser una cinta rodada en solo una toma, con las dificultades de montaje que significa ese desafío.

Mención Especial para ”El Monstro del Mar!“ por soundtrack.
Por su banda de sonido brillante, original y que, más allá de acompañar las imágenes, es un personaje más de la cinta.

Sección Cortometrajes

-Mejor Corto Chileno: “La Ley del Hielo” (de Ignacio Rodríguez y Sebastián Pose, Chile)
Por su propuesta, por su simpleza, por su humor, unida a una excelente fotografía y por retratar los miedos infantiles desde la inocencia.

-Mejor Corto Latinoamericano: “Deus Irae” (de Pedro Cristiani, Argentina)
Por las actuaciones, fotografía, guión y el despliegue de efectos de maquillaje.

-Mejor Corto Internacional: “Manual Práctico del Amigo Imaginario (Abreviado)” (de Ciro Altabás, España)
Por ser una historia original que plantea de forma excelente al amigo imaginario que todos tuvimos alguna vez, como también la transición a la adultez, logrado con maestría y devoción por los personajes.

The Life and Death of a Porno Gang
is the great winner of the Third FIXION-SARS Film Festival

The delirious serbian story by the director Mladen Djordjevic, it raised with the triple crown with his prizes for The Best Movie, Best Director and Best Screenplay. The audience award is for “Humanimal” the chilean movie by Francesc Morales.

The protagonists of “Humanimal” Ramon Llao & Jenny Cavallo received the distinction for Best Actor and Best actress respectively.

In chilean shortfilms the winner was “La Ley del Hielo” by Ignacio Rodriguez & Sebastian Pose. In the latin americans shorts, the prize fell in the argentine “Deus Irae” by Pedro Cristiani and the international shortfilms section the winner was the spanish comedy “Manual Practico del Amigo Imaginario (Abreviado)” by Ciro Altabas.

The third version of FIXION-SARS 2010, The Fantastic and Horror Film Festival from Santiago, it was realized in Cinemark Plaza Vespucio between october 31th and 3th november 2010.

As the regulations indicate it, the prizes it was granted by the audience award as a jury integrated by the journalist Fernando Caro (President), the film professor Victor Ortega and the director Inti Carrizo-Ortiz.

For its ability to reconcile the aesthetic codes of brutality, cruelty and violence without restrictions joined with deep reflection, real, political and social, and management of creative and bold visual language.

-Best Actor: Ramon Llao for his performance in “Humanimal”

-Best Actress: Jenny Cavallo for her performance in “Humanimal”
To bring in expertise with leading roles in a film that breaks all the conventions of acting for a movie, unable to express in words but only through grunts and body language.

Special Mention for “PIG” for special make-up effects and cinematography.
For realistic make-up effects and cinematography that break the schema to be a film shot in one take, with the difficulties of mounting means that challenge.

Special Mention for “El Monstro del Mar!” for the soundtrack.
For its brilliant soundtrack, original and, beyond enclose the images, is a character in the film.

In its proposal, by its simplicity, for its humor, combined with excellent photography and for portraying children’s fears from the innocence.

-Best Latin American Short: “Deus Irae” (by Pedro Cristiani, Argentina).
For the performances, photography, script and the deployment of make-up effects.

-Best Internacional Short: “Manual Practico del Amigo Imaginario (Abreviado)” (by Ciro Altabas, Spain).
As an original story that an excellent way raises the imaginary friend we all had at some time, as well as the transition to adulthood, made with skill and devotion to the characters.
